Besides sprockets, the design also includes dampers, which dampen the resulting vibrations, and tensioners, which are necessary for adjustment. Properties of Timing Belt Drive
The timing belt drive mechanism is now the most commonly used. Such a unit not only transmits the torque, but also drives the attachments of the engine, namely the pomp. It has a specific design, which is characterized by:- Presence of several layers, special profile of the working surface;
- Reinforcement with fiberglass, metal or textile;
- Internal teeth for rotation transmission;
- Section in the form of a semicircle or trapezoid.
